- Inspect Your Tires - Make sure your tires are winter-ready. Check the tread and the pressure. Also, you may want to consider changing over to snow tires if you plan to do lots of driving in snow or ice-covered roads and trails.
- Test & Inspect Your Car Battery - You don’t want to deal with battery issues in winter weather. Be sure to test your battery to see if it provides the right amount of charge. Also, check for any signs of corrosion on the battery casing or battery terminals.
- Windshield Crack & Chip Inspection - Did you know that small windshield cracks and chips can expand in the winter? You will want to have any windshield damage repaired before the first freeze comes. We can provide fast and affordable windshield repair services.
- Check Your Brakes - Make certain that you have the proper braking power in snow, slush, and ice. Check the stopping distance of your brakes. Also, listen for any grinding sounds that are associated with poor brakes.
- Check Your Wiper Blades - You will also want to check your wiper blades too. Check to make sure that the rubber is sturdy and the wipers glide cleanly across the windshield.
- Change Washer Fluid to Winter Blend - You may be surprised to know that washer fluid can freeze during certain temperatures. Therefore, you will want to change your washer fluid to a winter blend.
- Conduct an HVAC Inspection - Check to see if your HVAC system delivers proper heating through each vent. Also, check the condition of the defroster, seat warmers, and steering wheel warmers.
- Check/Replace Engine Antifreeze - You will also want to take this time to check the engine antifreeze. Without proper antifreeze, your engine may not be able to start.
- Prepare a Roadside Safety Kit - Be ready just in case you are stuck on the side of the road. Prepare a roadside safety kit that includes flares, first aid equipment, a flashlight, and spare batteries for the flashlight.
