2WD vehicles have an advantage over 4WD vehicles and AWD vehicles, and that advantage is that you only need to have two wheels aligned. The other two are held in place by a fixed axle, which keeps those wheels pointing straight forward at all times. This is why a 2WD vehicle only needs a two-wheel alignment, and AWD and FWD vehicles need four-wheel alignments. Having to only align two wheels makes for a shorter alignment and a simpler service than a four-wheel alignment, and we provide that for you at our service center.

How Alignments Work in Practice

When you bring in your vehicle for a two-wheel alignment, the first thing our experts will do is raise up your vehicle and attach specialized cameras to the wheels. These cameras will read the angles at which your wheels are sitting and will send that information to the computer. The computer then calculates the adjustments necessary to get your car’s wheels back to the angles that Subaru recommends, and then our technicians make those adjustments with care and special attention to detail. Once they’ve made certain that their adjustments are correct, your car is all ready to go.
